We are excited about the 18th Annual Monterey Cowboy Poetry & Music Festival to be held from Friday, November 18 through Sunday November 20, 2016. Once again this year the Festival will be held at the Monterey County Fair & Event Center.
For those who attended last year, you will be pleased to know that we have worked with the Fairgrounds management and the ventilation in the main performance building will be fixed and operating during this year’s Festival. The stage height will be increased an additional foot to allow more comfortable viewing.
We are sad to report that Gary Brown, the Founder of the Festival passed away in March. Gary so loved the Festival that he spent the last few months of his life creating this year’s excellent mix of shows.
The line-up for this year is Hot Club of Cowtown; Peter Rowan; Don Edwards; Rex Allen Jr.; RW Hampton; Dave Stamey, Juni Fisher, Randy Reiman; The Hanson Family; Joel Nelson; Connie Dover; Janet Bailey, Russ Knox; Rich O’Brien; Skip Gorman; Tom Dauber; Calvin Hampton; Mike Beck; Jim & Karen Ross and Bruce Forman, Pammy Pinto & CowBop. What a show!!!
Please visit the festival website at www.montereycowboy.org for more information and to buy tickets. You’ll also find information about rooms at the Hyatt Regency Monterey (Host Hotel) and RV parking on the grounds.
Most folks are aware that these types of Festivals have expenses that increase each year. We invite you to review the sponsorship opportunities shown on the website or to contact us directly for information (831-649-6544). The Festival is a non-profit (501 c-3) organization and sponsorships are tax deductible.
If you are currently on our mailing list you should have received our tri-fold brochure with a ticket order form attached. If you haven’t received one, all of the information is on the website www.montereycowboy.org or contact us and we will mail one to you.
Buy tickets early as all seats are reserved. Thank you for your continued support and please invite family and friends to come to Monterey this year.
Thank you from all of us at the Monterey Cowboy Poetry & Music Festival.
